About SweepsDepot.Com

Origin

It is funny to call this page as "about us" since I am the only one writing the pages and posting content. I decided to publish this site to accomplish many things, but my primary desire was to combine my programming classes in a finished live website. I selected sweepstakes listings because I found that although there are many sites dedicated to this field my search for sweepstakes to enter often frustrated me as I searched through countless pages looking for quality listings that would be of interest to me. I decided to create a site with listings only from well know companies and this is how SweepsDepot.Com began.

Current Status

As the sweepstake portion of SweepsDepot.Com grew I decided. for many of the same reasons, to add listings of printable coupons. As of this writing I have over 200 well known brand names and links to over 300 coupons with new listings added daily. I also reluctantly decided to test a section that allows users to post coupon listings that, with approval, will be listed on the main site. I hope this is successful as I believe this will begin the foundation of a community of savers and that together we can develop an efficient portal that allows all of us to stretch our dollar further or win a sweepstake.

The Future

I hope to continue the growth of SweepsDepot.Com and develop a true community of individuals with similar interests. The next step after printable coupons will either be free listings or a coupon code section. I believe that both of these will offer needed services to our community and offer additional opportunities for users to share their finds with each other. The future beyond these initiatives will be methods for users to personalize their experience on SweepsDepot.Com and the possibility of adding a forum. The publishing of a forum is an issue that I have struggled with as I believe that improperly done they can be a detriment to our portal. I will continue to consider new features or sections to add to our site and improve the efficiency whenever I find fault or failure.
